🎯 Personal pronouns replace nouns — instead of repeating the name, you use a pronoun: I, you, he, she, it...

💡 Pronouns Table (Nominative)

Note: The formal Sie is always capitalized and works for both singular and plural.

⚠️ Important Usage

Difference between du / ihr / Sie

Pronoun When to use Example
du One person you know well Du bist mein Freund.
ihr A group you know well Ihr seid meine Freunde.
Sie Formal (strangers, work, elders) Sie sind Herr Schmidt.

Special uses of "es"

  1. As personal pronoun: Das Kind weint. Es ist traurig.
  2. Weather: Es regnet. (It's raining.)
  3. Time: Es ist 5 Uhr. (It's 5 o'clock.)
  4. Dummy subject: Es gibt ein Problem. (There is a problem.)
