📝 Lektion 16 Exercises: Sport und Ernährung (Sports and Nutrition)

🎯 Goal: Learn sports and nutrition vocabulary, use the imperative form (Imperativ), write recipes and health instructions.

💡 Tip: Memorize sports verbs with their prepositions — for example, "sich anmelden zu" and "teilnehmen an" require specific prepositions.


Exercise 1: Sports Vocabulary — Match the Word 🖊️

Match the sport with the correct sentence:

Exercise 3: Writing a Recipe with Imperativ ✍️

Write the following recipe using the imperative form (Imperativ) for "Sie" and for "du":

Ingredients: 200g noodles, 2 eggs, salt, pepper, cheese

Exercise 4: Healthy Eating Dialogue 💬

Complete the dialogue between a doctor and a patient:

Arzt: Guten Tag, Herr Müller. Was ___ Ihnen? Patient: Guten Tag, Herr Doktor. Ich habe oft __ und fühle mich müde. Arzt: ___ Sie genug? Patient: Ich __ nicht so viel. Ich habe wenig Zeit. Arzt: ___ Sie mehr Obst und Gemüse! Und ___ Sie regelmäßig Sport!

Complete dialogue: Doctor: Good morning, Mr. Müller. What's wrong with you? Patient: Good morning, doctor. I often have headaches and feel tired. Doctor: Do you sleep enough? Patient: I don't sleep much. I have little time. Doctor: Eat more fruits and vegetables! And exercise regularly!


Exercise 5: Write About Your Favorite Sport and Food 📝

Answer the following questions in complete sentences (3-5 sentences each):

  1. Welche Sportart machst du gern? (Which sport do you like to do?)
  2. Wie oft machst du Sport? (How often do you do sports?)
  3. Was isst du am liebsten? (What's your favorite food?)
  4. Was ist dein Lieblingsgetränk? (What's your favorite drink?)

Sample Answer:

  1. Welche Sportart machst du gern? I like to play soccer. I've been playing in a club for five years. Soccer is fun for me because I can move around a lot.

  2. Wie oft machst du Sport? I do sports three times a week. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I go to the gym. On weekends I sometimes play tennis with friends.

  3. Was isst du am liebsten? My favorite food is pizza with cheese and tomatoes. But I also like healthy food like salad and fruit. I try to eat an apple every day.

  4. Was ist dein Lieblingsgetränk? My favorite drink is water with lemon. I also like tea, especially in the evening. I don't like cola and lemonade that much because they have too much sugar.


💡 Extra Tip: When using Imperativ with "du": - Regular verbs: kochen → koch + e = Koche! - Irregular verbs (e → i): sprechen → sprich!, geben → gib! (no -e ending) - Separable verbs: aufstehen → steh auf! (the prefix goes to the end)
