🎯 How to Wish Someone Happy Birthday
In Germany, there are 3 very common ways to congratulate someone:

✏️ How to Make a Wish Sentence
The rule is very simple:
Ich wünsche dir + (something nice)!

Remember: dir = to you (one friend) — euch = to you (group) — Ihnen = to you (formal)
🎈 How to Invite Someone (Einladen)
To invite a friend to a party, use these sentences:

🎊 The Verb "feiern" (to celebrate)

🎯 Rule: feiern is a regular verb — add -e, -st, -t, -en, -t, -en like most verbs!
❓ Asking About People and Things: wen? / was?
When inviting and celebrating, we ask about people with wen and about things with was:

🧒 Golden note: wer asks about the subject: Wer kommt zur Party? (Who is coming to the party?). But wen asks about the person the action falls on: Wen lädst du ein? (Whom are you inviting?). The difference is only one letter — watch out!

🗣️ The Imperative with du and ihr (Imperativ)
To give an order or request to one friend, take the du form from the table and throw away the pronoun! For a group, take the ihr form without the pronoun too:

💡 Note: In the imperative we never say the pronoun! We say Komm! not ~~Du kommst!~~ With separable verbs, the prefix goes to the end of the sentence: Bring ... mit! / Kauf ... ein!

✅ Answering Questions: ja / nein / doch
We know ja (yes) and nein (no)... but German has a very important third answer: doch!

| Kommst du zur Party? | Nein, ich komme nicht. | No, I'm not coming. (negative answer) |
| Kommst du nicht zur Party? | Doch, ich komme! | Yes (contrary to what you think), I am coming! (negative question answered positively → doch) |
🧒 Golden note: When someone asks you in the negative form ("Aren't you coming?") and you want to say "Yes, I AM coming!" — use doch: Kommst du nicht? — Doch, ich komme! This answer doesn't exist in English and is very important in everyday German!

In German, the verb is always in the second position:
