💡 Reminder: The verb arbeiten adds an extra -e- before -st and -t endings for pronunciation — arbeitest, arbeitet.

Quantors: alle, viele, einige, kein, niemand — Words for Quantities

In your new course you will meet many people! This is how we talk about quantities in German:

einige	some / a few	Einige Fragen sind leicht.
kein / keine	no / not any	Ich habe keine Zeit.

Important notes on usage and declension:

Word	Declension
alle / viele / einige	They come with a plural noun; in the dative they take an extra -n: mit allen Fragen, mit vielen Freunden, mit einigen Leuten
kein / keine	They behave like the indefinite article ein/eine: kein Termin, keine Zeit, keinen Kurs
niemand	It usually stays the same: Niemand hilft mir.

💡 Golden note: Distinguish between viel (uncountable amount) and viele (countable number): we say viel Zeit (a lot of time) but viele Freunde (many friends)!

💡 Useful expression: "Viel Erfolg!" means "Good luck / Best of success!" and is often said before exams or starting new courses.
